The Weekend’s Stupidity

Posted on November 22, 2014

3 StoogesWe had planned on foregoing our usual Stupidity Tracker in lieu of an expected Ferguson grand jury decision and related drum circles/college application parties that are sure to come with it. Since no such decision came down, the bullshit was typical for this time of year – slow(er) and steady.

W.H. do you get the feeling that you and just a very few people are noticing that the slaughter and mayhem are getting worse instead of better? At the beginning of the year, actually the first 3 months, we had a horrendous winter that impacted the Jackasses mightily, and yet here we are creeping towards 200 more people shot than last year, with more than 5 weeks left. When them two Pinocchio’s start babbling about how they have reduced the violence do you get angry like a lot of us do? Does anybody believe them?

A very astute observation. The usual suspects have been trumpeting the lower number of homicides all year and all but ignoring the number of people shot (which we believe is the true measure of violence along w/ robberies). Now that the homicide tally is has caught up to 2013, expect crickets until the end of the year tally is released. The polar vortex of Jan – Mar helped quite a bit and hasn’t gotten a lot of credit. Without it we’d likely be looking at 2012-like metrics.

Also, two consecutive years of $100mm in overtime and we’re sitting right around the 10-15 year trend. Some may argue that’s a pretty shitty ROI, especially for a broke city/state/nation.

as a former Detroiter, I can tell you that today you are looking at Detroit ten years ago. Elected officials touting that they can change human behavior – with more and more restrictions upon the population, and then lies after lies, and spin and slant, and spending. Socialist Democrats NEVER have the correct answer. Never will. They refuse to allow or accept individual responsibility, and always want government solutions. Thus the productive population de-populates and leaves the square miles of the city to the savages. And the savages decimate themselves. You are not encouraged to do a fly-over of Detroit, because of what you will see: blocks upon blocks – square miles of nothing [of any value] left standing. Plenty of YouTube videos of Detroit for you to look at. Would you think Rahm & the Aldermen would learn anything from that? The voting population is stupid enough to keep returning ineptitude back into office. The stupid of Detroit got what they got, and now Chicago will get what it gets. So sad that history must repeat itself.

I am from scenic Detroit as well. Bankruptcy was the ultimate destination for the last 2 decades at least. The only surprising thing was that it took so long. But now we know why…Kwame, democrats, the unions, and hedge funds did some backdoor dealings and kept the city afloat (taking their cuts, of course). Chicago style corruption at its absolute finest. Except that a lot of our peeps went to jail. They seem to avoid that in Chicago.
The saddest part is not a damn thing was learned by the natives.
Namely, that when the takers take from the makers…..the makers leave. And the takers who remain turn the place into a mad max zombie apocalypse.
But you should hear these liberal democrats…..they blame everyone and everything but themselves. Insane!!!!!
I learned long ago that you cannot reason with an insane person. So I stopped arguing with liberals and socialists….and moved away from them. Life is better and cheaper at the same time. And my life expectancy went up a bit too, I think.

I notice that the ‘Shot in the Ass’ chart exploded back in April and has stayed high since. What are the chances that the ‘honor students’ have begun deliberately aiming there in order to see themselves in your chart? :)
