Early In 2012, McCarthy frequently spoke about how the last few months of 2011 saw a huge spike in gun related violence which crept over in to 2012. This year we probably won’t even break 400 homicides, but I have high doubts that next year we will be as fortunate. I’m guessing CPD summer tactics actually worked overall, but those same summer tactics were scrapped once “fall” hit, and now we’ve seen pretty high numbers dating all the way back to early Sept.

Gargoyle, with two and a half months left, I (unfortunately) feel that 400 will be obtained. By the end of this month, I think the number will be around 360-365. Remember that Halloween is on a Friday which kicks off the weekend. Lots of drunk and unruly idiots patrolling the streets.

We’ll break 400 this year ladies – probably around 425 with over 2,300 total shot. If not, everyone on this thread will get some free stickers.

Sheesh – that’s just what Chicago needs: some idiot gun control organization [guncrisis.org] adding their advocacy to the stupidity – then again maybe they’re not injecting their advocacy into Midwest problems. I am sure Philadelphia has all of the correct answers to keep the knee-grow population defenseless.

I heard all the ruckus over the scanner this morning. It’s crazy folks can’t party without getting shot.

When’s the next year to date murder update due?

Raise a glass…..surpassed last years shot and wounded total this weekend with two plus months left to go in the year. More lead less dead theme for 2014 is a sucess.

my math indicates there were 22 shootings this past weekend, and 4 killed – that’s 18.18% aiming success rate. last year it was 9 shootings with 1 killed, or an 11.11% accuracy rate. obviously the aim amongst the savages is getting better. I guess that is justification that Chicago does not need any indoor gun ranges – there are plenty of outdoor shooting venues that are improving the accuracy rate. so there is some good in all of this?

Right now the Chi town is at a 17% murder to wounded rate. If these fools were just 25% accurate, the death tool this year would be about 526!
