    The weather makes no difference?
Oh yeah, and don’t forget the additional laws we need regarding gun control.
We can’t change the weather but we sure as hell should enforce the gun laws that are already on the books.
If an honor student with a felony record gets caught with a gun and is sentenced to
4 years, it should be 4 years, not 18 months.
Think of the time and money it would save the CPD and the court system if they only had to see the POS once every 4 years instead of every 2 years.
That would cut the load and the cost on the legal system by 50%.
I don’t know the numbers, but from I read it’s not a small number.

Will they break 400 this year?

What will the final count be for this year? Any guesses?

Make these criminals serve at least 85% of their sentence like in Florida. People should keep track of the lenient judges so they know come the next election. Most have no idea about the record of the judge when they vote. People need to vote these soft touch judges out.

I’m no longer a Chicagoan, but retired (military, contractor etc) in the FL Panhandle. Florida 10-20-Life Law was passed in 1988 and despite a 17% population increase, total violent crime went down 30% by 2012. Commit a crime using a gun it starts at 10 yrs, fire the gun it starts at 20 yrs, and kill someone it is automatic life imprisonment up to the death penalty. In 2011 where a son lives in Central Florida an angry person shot up the neighborhood. Did not hit any people. He received 35 years. Tough laws that are upheld and an armed populace will lower crime.

I notice that my old neighborhood, Chicago Lawn, is back on the list of deadliest hoods. From a statistical view, it is the deadliest with one kill per three shootings. The other hoods need to pick up pace as in more accuracy.

Rahm: Since you’re reading this, why not just eliminate night time hours via a new city ordinance? Install gigantic kleig lighting shining in 360-degrees – at every street corner. The savages would think it is daylight and then go to sleep – thus far less shooting. Think outside of the box Rahm. You can do it. Your Alder-people will rubber-stamp everything you do, so why not give it a try? Also consider a sedative-additive into the water supply in certain areas of the city [except withdraw the sedatives at least 48 hours before any election day – so the voter fraud won’t be affected]. There are workable solutions to your leadership shortcomings – just step outside of that box!

For the life of me I cannot figure out who the hell supports this JO.
If anyone out there has a positive thing to say about him, I sure would like to hear it.
And I mean something positive, not how he goes in, riles everybody up and then gets the hell out of Dodge.
    I am sick of him.
