Self Defense, Again

Posted on July 26, 2016

Self Defense ZoneIt’s likely no coincidence that if one sees a 50% jump in persons catching lead, one would see a similar jump in justified lead catching as well. The latest incident will certainly leave a mark via a high speed lead tracheotomy:

“A civilian employee of the Chicago Police Department shot and wounded one of two people who tried to rob him at gunpoint Monday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, authorities said.

The employee, a 57-year-old detention aide, was getting on his motorcycle in the 1300 block of South Sawyer Avenue shortly before 6 a.m. when two men approached, according to a statement from police.

One of the men pointed a handgun at the employee while the other one went through the employee’s pockets and attempted to take the employee’s gun, which he was licensed to carry, the statement said.

The employee shot at the robber who had the gun, hitting him in the neck. The gunman, 31, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, the statement said.”

In short, good.
