Remind Us
Posted on September 11, 2013
12 years ago today the WTC came down which kicked-off the never-ending, TSA groping, NSA snooping “War on Terror”. Massive violations of one’s freedoms aside, we decided to take a look at the death toll in the Middle East war zone of Afghanistan vs the homicides tallied in the modern American city of Chicago.
2013 Casualties vs Homicides:
Afghan | Chicago | |
---|---|---|
Jan | 3 | 45 |
Feb | 1 | 14 |
Mar | 15 | 19 |
Apr | 14 | 24 |
May | 22 | 47 |
Jun | 17 | 45 |
Jul | 13 | 55 |
Aug | 11 | 53 |
Sep | 1 | 14 |
Total | 97 | 316 |
Remind us again which one is considered a war zone and the recipient of billions and billions of taxpayer of dollars in military funding and support?
Also of note, 2,259 US troops have been killed in Afghanistan since Jan 1, 2002 vs 5,473 murdered in Chicago. And the entire Iraq war (2003-2012)? 4,486. Again, remind us…
