November Wrap-up
Posted on November 30, 2018
Aside from 2016’s total shitshow, this November fell in line with past Novembers with a slightly less shot total possibly due to January’s early arrival.
November 2018: 45 killed, 130 wounded
November 2017: 41 killed, 165 wounded
November 2016: 83 killed, 323 wounded
November 2015: 37 killed, 165 wounded
November 2014: 39 killed, 125 wounded
November 2013: 28 killed, 111 wounded
A breakdown of the month’s idiocy shows:
- 38 shot & killed
- 4 fatal stabbings
- 3 fatalities via other means
- 2 fatal police shootings
- 0 homicide-linked arrests
- Averaged 5.4 people shot per day
- 8 days were homicide-free
- 2 death investigations
- 22 in serious or critical condition
- 39 males killed vs 6 females
- 36 teenagers shot, 4 killed
- 5 grazed
- 4 selfies
- 8 #ShotInTheAss
All eyes (at least those few of us who pay attention to this nonsense) are now diverted towards the year end total. December would have to be a complete disaster in order to get close to 600, but seeing that as very unlikely, we’re looking to wrap up with year around 580. While this is certainly better than the last two years, it’s still an elevated total vs other years this century.
