Honor Student of the Week
Posted on August 4, 2013
Back in June, honor student, productive citizen and all around good guy, Antonio Lewis, “allegedly” shot and killed a five year old and his mother in their New City neighborhood home. He also attempted to kill the 11 year old brother too but his gun jammed.
Surprisingly, Antonio had some recent priors:
“He was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance in December 2012, records show.
A month before, he was also was arrested on another drug charge, unlawful use of a weapon and not having a firearm owner ID card.”
GASP! No FOID card! While it’s apparent that none of these “minor” offenses were bad enough to keep him off the streets for an extended period of time, the no FOID card violation should have gotten him 25-life in a federal pen. After all, we’ve been told that FOID cards keep the public safe.
Finally, someone in the know decided not to wait around for the cops:
“About 9:10 p.m. the same day, Lewis was shot in the groin, back and neck while standing on a sidewalk in the 2800 block of West Arthington Street, authorities said. He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.”
In case you’re wondering, he’s still in critical condition. Get well soon Antonio.
