Honor Student of the Week
Posted on November 24, 2013
It’s been awhile since we’ve highlighted an Honor Student of the Week, but this week’s winner has some major coping issues, over a $1.25 no less:
“Upset over how much it cost to ride a CTA bus, a 17-year-old girl got into an argument with the bus driver and then pepper sprayed him in the face as she got off the bus, prosecutors alleged Sunday.
The teen got onto the CTA bus in the 2600 block of East 79th Street just before noon on Friday and argued with the driver about the fare, Assistant State’s Attorney Jacqueline Kwilos said.
Authorities didn’t reveal exactly how much they fought over. A regular bus fare is $2. A student fare is 75 cents.
But before getting off, she blasted the 50-year-old driver in the face with pepper spray, Kwilos said.”
Dumbass.
Update: They’ve since released the mug shot. Our original image of Rainbow Brite wasn’t too far off.
