Honor Student of the Week

Posted on June 4, 2014

Gerald PreacelyThis week’s honor student is a convicted felon who enjoys doing time, taking potshots at police officers and receiving incoming fire from the same officers. Please meet Gerald S. Preacely Jr.:

“Officers patrolling in a squad car in the 6400 block of South King Drive about 9:25 a.m. Tuesday saw Preacely cross the street in front of their car, firing a handgun at a group of people in the Parkway Gardens housing complex, according to prosecutors.

The squad car pulled over and an officer in the passenger seat got out of the car and announced himself. Preacely turned in the direction of the officers and fired two to three shots, prosecutors said.

One of the officers returned fire, shooting three times at Preacely, prosecutors said. Preacely ran through a courtyard of the housing complex, tossing a 9 mm loaded handgun into a Dumpster.”

Fortunately for the officers involved, Gerry’s time in the pen prevented him for attending his weekly firearm safety and training session even though he has some experience in this area:

“Preacely… was previously convicted of unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor street gang contact while on parole…”

Maybe the attempted murder of a police officer charge will put Gerry away for more than a couple years, maybe.

Keep it short and to the point. Name calling and similar stupidity will be deleted. If you insist on writing several paragraphs, start your own blog.

39 wounded and it is not even Friday…..first Friday of a warm weekend….Chicago might push pass 60 shot with the revolving door justice system…..fortunately Attorney General Holder is adamant about finding homegrown terrorists (I know he means white dudes with legally purchased weapons who don’t like the President’s politics) but hey with fine citizens like Mr. preacley in and out and all about Chicago may top 100 dead in June

swift and certain justice. not in chicago courts – worst courts/judges in the u.s. approx 8,000 inmates in jail awaiting trial. the average trial wait time for these inmates is well over one year, some inmates waiting 2,3,4,5+ years to get a case resolved, closed, finalized. the moron chief judge can’t get anything moving faster. without swift certain justice, nothing will ever change. after the police do their jobs, they turn everything over to the lawyers/judges. this is when everything collapses. its the lawyers stupid. occupy the lawyer industrial complex – screwing citizens and taxpayers – one case at a time.

That moron Chief Judge is of course yet another “affirmative blacktion” beneficiary littering Chicago and Cook County’s payroll with the usual stupidity/ineffeciency/incompetence we have come to expect from that population. Of course “it be rayciss” to expect quality performance from “THE COMMUNEEETAY”.

If courts would put these thugs in jail for a minimum of 20 years for using a firearm when committing a crime, gun violence would fall simply because they are in jail.

Grew up in Chicago–Marquette Park on 71st St. All my relatives lived in Chicago Lawn and Gage Park and all left the city. Got my college degree and draft notice in 1966, spent 20+ in the military. Been living in NW Florida (lower Alabama) for last 20+ years in a county with 1/13th the population of Chicago and so far this year no murders and no shootings .. But then Florida has the 10-20-life law. Commit a felony with a gun-minimum of 10 years, discharge a gun it starts at 20 years, and kill someone it is automatic life with no parole, or maybe the death penalty. Commit a crime/felony while on probation around here you are off to jail. Last time I went into the old neighborhoods was in 2012 and it was appalling and scary plus my wife quit talking to me for a day.

Glad to see gun control is working so well in Chicago. Only the police and criminals have guns. Keep voting democrat.
