Strike 3

The Uptown neighborhood has been on a tear this year in no small part to local jagoffs taking potshots at a one “Young Pappy” (rapper or something). This morning they finally connected:
“A Chicago rapper who had twice been the target of shootings that killed innocent bystanders last year was gunned down on a sidewalk in Uptown early Friday, authorities said.
Shaquon Thomas, 20, who posted rap videos under the name Young Pappy, was found shot to death around 1:35 a.m. in the 4800 block of North Kenmore Avenue, authorities said.”
In the process of trying to take out Mr. Pappy, two innocent people were gunned down:
“The first one occurred in February 2014 when a masked gunman opened fire at a McDonald’s restaurant at Pratt Boulevard and Clark Street. Markeyo Carr, 17, who had grabbed a few bucks from his mother before heading to the McDonald’s, was shot in the head and collapsed in the driveway. Three other teens were wounded.
The second one happened in July when a man fired shots in the 1300 block of West Devon Avenue and hit Wil Lewis in the back and the head as he waited for a bus. The 28-year-old was about to a new job as a photographer.”
In addition to the trail of bodies left behind, Mr. Pappy was also known to be a significant drain on city resources by partaking in hours-long SWAT standoffs.
