Kohl’s – Expect Shitty Things

Posted on November 29, 2013

kohls We’re not big fans of Black Friday (except for the mayhem videos) and we’re even lesser fans of this newer, so-called Grey Thursday. In any event, a couple of jagoffs attempted to make off with some cheap Chinese made crap without paying:

“About 10 p.m. police responded to a report of men stealing clothing from the Kohl’s store at 261 S. Weber Road, Romeoville Police Chief Mark Turvey said.

Officers chased two suspects who were seen fleeing the store toward a Pontiac Sunfire waiting outside, Turvey said. An officer became involved in a struggle and was partially caught in the car, Turvey said.

The driver of the car ignored commands to stop and dragged the officer, police said. A second officer nearby fired a shot at the driver, striking him in the shoulder, Turvey said. The injured officer and the driver were hospitalized with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, police said.”

Yet, with all the hoopla outside,

“Despite the shooting, shoppers were still browsing the aisles of the store where police had marked off a crime scene with orange cones out front.”

The image says it all.

My First Black Friday this year. Got a great deal on a TV at target, some great deals on some jeans/shirts at sears plus some miscellaneous things/Christmas gifts, a few tablets at menards and I’m sorta starting to think the mayhem that happens at stores on this day is myth. Didn’t have to drop kick an old lady, mace everyone behind me, trample employees or nothing. Could be because I didn’t leave the house until late morning, but still, I was kind of lookin’ forward to throwin some bows!
