Honor Student Update
Posted on August 30, 2013
You may remember our 1st Honor Student of the Week, Antonio Lewis. If not, back in June, Antonio “allegedly” shot and killed a five year old and his mother in their New City neighborhood home. He also attempted to kill the 11 year old brother too but his gun jammed.
Antonio is back in the news again, this time because he’s being tagged with another murder charge:
“Antonio Lewis, of the 5500 block of South Winchester Avenue, was charged with first-degree murder on Thursday in connection with the shooting death of 30-year-old Brandon Johnson on Halloween last year.
Police said Johnson may have been conducting a “narcotics transaction” when he opened the door of his apartment, in the 5400 block of South Wolcott Avenue, and Lewis shot him.”
That’s quite a rap sheet for an 18 year old. But, don’t forget, his buddy tried to have him killed a day after the double homicide. That said…
“Lewis isn’t scheduled to appear in bond on the third murder charge, in the death of Johnson, because he’s still hospitalized.”
Bummer. Get well soon Antonio.
