Honor Student of the Week
Posted on September 27, 2013
This week’s honor student hails from the Kenwood neighborhood, has a liking for armed robberies and enjoys tutoring younger children in art of weapon concealment.
“A Kenwood teenager was arrested for shooting a Roosevelt High School football player in an armed robbery near the school, cops said.
Kevin Murchison, 18, was allegedly on felony probation and had a pending robbery case in juvenile court when he showed up at Roosevelt High School at dismissal time with a young child in tow and shot a student while trying to rob him, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said Murchison ran after the shooting and stashed the gun in the child’s backpack, which is where police later discovered it.”
Not only was ol’ Kev already on felony probation, he had a pending robbery case (another felony). Now add yet a couple more felonies to the mix and maybe he’ll get some jail time.
But don’t worry, we’re confident he’ll be out in time for his little buddy’s 10th birthday. Word is he wants a .22.
