Honor Student of the Week

Posted on November 6, 2014

Lil Durk - A rapper or somethingThis week’s award goes to someone special, Lil Durk, who claims to be a rapper or something.

“Chicago rapper Lil Durk is due in court Thursday charged with weapons violations, just months after pleading guilty to gun charges and vowing never to appear in a courtroom again.

Lil Durk, 22, whose real name is Durk Banks, was arrested after Chicago gang officers went to a home in Orland Hills about 5 a.m. Wednesday while investigating a homicide, according to the arrest report.

A woman who answered the door let them in, and the officers saw Banks standing in the living room near a kitchen island where there were two guns in plain sight, the report said.

“I got those pipes (guns) ’cause (expletive) always be tryin’ to take my bands (money),” Banks said, according to the police report.

Police seized a Glock .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 11 live rounds and a Springfield .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 13 live rounds, the police report said. It was not clear if there were rounds in the chambers of the guns.”

Given Durk’s prior convictions for the same crap, he’ll be back on the streets and cutting shitty mix tapes in no time.

Keep it short and to the point. Name calling and similar stupidity will be deleted. If you insist on writing several paragraphs, start your own blog.

Mr. Thompson,is this a true stat or did I miss something. 2013 had 1,777 wounded for the year,so far in 2014 we already have 1,925. 148 more with 7 weeks to go? Wow!

That’s correct. The number of people shot is way up, but there has been less fatalities = More Lead, Less Dead.

Will a Valedictorian be named at the end of the year? With so many accomplished Chicago honor students, surely one will be worthy of special recognition.

Lil Jerk had a previous weapons charge and he gets probation. These judges and prosecuters have learned nothing from the Hadiya Pendleton murder. Then they wonder why crime is such an issue in the city. How many that voted knew the records of the judges on the ballot. I think that should be printed next to the candidates name.

This fool was afraid he would be robbed of his money, put it in the bank and stop showing off flashing the cash ya moron. I hope they don’t let him out for a long time, but figure the odds of that are similar to me winning the lotto.

People from “fly over country”, where we have far less uneducated savages, think its hilarious how you count “live rounds” as if its something amazing. I guess it gets the anti-gun crowd some metrics to talk about over their lattes at Starbucks…..sort of like the greenies that report small oil spills in gallons instead of 55 gal “Barrels” to make the numbers more sensational.

So you buy a box of ammo and you have 50 “live rounds” (they come in boxes of 50)…..so would that make the guy a bigger criminal if he had a box in his pocket?…..also, what would be the purpose of having a “non-live round” ?

the guy had a gun in his possession….he had a previous weapons charge…he is an idiot that didn’t learn his lesson…….he goes to jail…..
