Happy Veterans Day

“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.” – George S. Patton.
In other news, apparently Chicago is a lousy place for vets to call home:
“With more than 20 million military veterans living in the U.S., according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, where are some of the best places for them to live? A new study shows it isn’t Chicago.
The study, from WalletHub, looked at 19 different metrics to rank the 100 most populated cities. To come up with the rankings, WalletHub looked at things such as the percentage of military skill-related jobs, veteran unemployment rate, number of VA facilities per veteran population and veteran population.
Taking all of the data into account, Chicago only finished ahead of Newark, N.J. In the economic wellness category, Chicago came in 95th and was slightly better in the “Environment, Education & Health” category (91st).”
In your face Newark! You suck!
